Razer found a new way to print money: Cinnamoroll gaming headsets

we review a lot of wireless headphones here at Gizmodo. Those with better active noise cancellation; luxury pairs; cans that offer the best value. Nothing could prepare us for Razer Kraken Kitty V2 BTA pair of wireless gaming headsets featuring ears of Sanrio’s popular Cinnamoroll character.

The $140 gaming headset is the latest collaboration from Razer and Sanrio. Razer already sold Hello Kitty and Kuromi versions of the Kraken Kitty V2, and now there’s a model with adorable puppy ears. (Fun fact: I just found out today that Kuromi is a rabbit and not a cat. Oops!)

Wireless headphones are not a single thing: they are part of a complete set. Cinnamoroll Theme Collection which includes a Iskur V2 X Newgen gaming chair ($450), one Kraken V4 X Wired Gaming Headset ($110), a Ornata V3 tenkeyless mechanical keyboard ($120), and a Cobra and Gigantus V2 M Package ($100) that includes a wired gaming mouse (with RGB, of course) and a mousepad.

I’m not saying that the Razer Kraken Kitty V2 BT’s 40mm drivers, noise cancellation, Bluetooth 5.2, and “faux leather” ear pads aren’t good, but if I’m honest, you probably won’t be getting these cans or any of the gear in this collection to boost your gaming performance. You’re buying because you’re a big fan of Cinnamoroll or want to upgrade your setup.

Somewhere, there’s a Cinnamoroll diehard for whom Christmas just came early. More realistically, these chairs will likely make their debut on a Twitch channel. Someone’s gotta be flexible with all the streamer wannabes and their generic Secretlab chairs, right?
