Apple is releasing the fifth developer beta of macOS 26.6. This is what you can expect
macOS 26.6 has few user-facing features
Since macOS 26.6 beta 1, it has become clear that this would be more of a “bug fixes and general improvements” type update, rather than a version packed with user-facing features.
Still, given Apple’s own admission that AI-powered security exploits are prompting it to speed up the release of security fixes, the system update is expected to include additional patches, some of which Apple already included in macOS 26.5.
An Apple-specific change highlighted In beta 1 there was a fix for macOS deprecation notices that appeared after some apps were incorrectly identified as Intel-only. The company has since also marked the ecosystem and HealthKit issues as resolved, but shared a few more details about the update.
