The end is near and time is running out. OnePlus will reportedly shut down for good in the US and European markets starting this week.
For months now, it has been very clear that OnePlus is closing itself in global markets. It all started earlier this year when a strange AI-assisted “report” hit the web claiming that OnePlus would be shutting down, albeit without citing sources at the time. OnePlus refuted the claimbut it was obvious that things were coming together after years of mistakes and neglect.
We here at 9to5Google later reported that OnePlus would decline in global markets, and it was only a couple of weeks later when OnePlus officially confirmed it. He was “evaluating” his future in Europebetween other changes.
The downward spiral has continued in the subsequent months, with mysterious ads of products that were expected to reach global markets, reported internal mergers within the Oppo empire and, more recently, a change to the OnePlus website where, in several regions, the brand is actively pressure customers to buy from Oppo. Even OxygenOS is on the chopping block.
Now, the end is here. Almost.

Press conferences have apparently been held behind closed doors, with no details being shared about the exact reason why OnePlus as a brand is closing in these markets. India and China, this report claims, are not affected.
The report, which cites “well-informed sources,” notes that this OnePlus announcement will come amid “fundamental changes” to Oppo’s strategy, but the big point here is the global death of OnePlus.
