“Avatar: The Last Airbender in Concert” still has dates for its hit tour celebrating the animated series’ 20th anniversary, but fans of its sequel now have their own event in the works.The legend of Korra in Concert,” which marks the 15th anniversary of that series, will hit the road in 2027.
A press release describes the show as “a stunning live concert experience that brings the groundbreaking sequel to life through a live symphonic performance combined with an immersive cinematic experience. Follow Korra, the next rebellious Avatar after Aang, as she navigates a world on the brink of revolution alongside Asami, Bolin, Mako and Tenzin.”
The work of composer Jeremy Zuckerman and editor Jeff Adams, who worked on Legend of Korradrives the “two-hour, chronologically ordered visual journey through all four seasons of the iconic animated series, projected on a full-size movie screen. Audiences will experience the original dialogue and sound effects intact as a powerful live orchestra performs the legendary score in perfect synchronization with the on-screen action.”
In the statement, Zuckerman explained why he is excited about his Avatar musical universe to get another showcase. “The music of The legend of Korra explores an emotional and musical landscape very different from Avatar: The Last Airbendercombining orchestral, jazz and electronic influences to reflect the more modern world of Korra,” he said. “Hearing that score performed live brings a new level of energy to the music and allows the audience to experience the story in a completely different way.”
Tickets go on sale July 17 the official website; dates begin in January 2027. In the United States, it will arrive in 20 cities starting January 10; In Europe, a 10-city commitment begins on January 31.
