Pearl Abyss may need to be careful how quickly they respond to comments. We could get too used to it.
Crimson Desert has only been out for three days and has already taken the internet by storm. From chilling tales of heroic deeds, adorable armored kittens, and stunning landscapes, to bug reports, clunky controls, and storage issues.
Article continues below.
Yeah! Most requested feature Crimson Desert the players have been asking It’s here, just a few days after its launch. personal storage has arrived in the game in two places:
“Added Private Storage that can be used to store items from your Inventory. Private Storage is located in the initial temporary quarters in Hernand and Camp Howling Hill.”
The storage used is the same one that previously held camp rewards. It still does, but now you can also move elements into the box. Looks like I can finally start accumulating armor sets.
Next up, Pearl Abyss has been listening very carefully, as they’ve already implemented keyboard and mouse control tweaks. They’ve also made the jump commands more responsive!
- Controls review– Overall faster and more responsive controls such as panning and jumping, faster UI, center screen aiming, improved quick gear slots, and more.
- Abyss Nexus added: More fast travel points have been added to the map.
- Reduced health and attack. of specific enemies/bosses: These include early game bosses, a higher parry stun gauge, and less stamina consumption when blocking.
- Easier resource collection: Trees now take fewer hits and ores, grinding stones, and more will be highlighted on the map when you walk near them without having to use them.
- Greater health thanks to food.: They have now more than doubled the health that food provides. From 30 to 70!
- Simplified knowledge and skills system: Reduced acquisition time; skill observation is required only once; Force Palm learned a lot before; Icons/tooltips showing total knowledge gained: Speeds up the slow/opaque initial progression that many players rated as difficult or unclear.
- Improved game systems: Fixed pet patterns for picking up items, increased flashlight detection range, and more.
- Better performance: Added 120Hz toggle support on both Xbox and PlayStation.
Many other changes have been made, such as a permanent fire item near a certain tower during the game’s initial missions (that thing was No easy to turn on).
It’s late where I am, but I’m already busy reviewing all the patch notes myself and I can tell you without a doubt: I gave the game a 4.5/5 It’s been better than ever for days!
The changes were made quickly
No one expected Pearl Abyss to release such a massive patch so early in the game’s life cycle. It’s Sunday night where I am, but it’s already Monday morning in South Korea. Given the timing, it’s pretty safe to say that someone at that studio spent the weekend working on getting these features out so quickly.
I’ve been playing long enough to know that this is not normal. Big games don’t usually move that fast. I have to be careful or I’ll start expecting this from all developers, and that’s a dangerous place to be in.
To the team of pearl abyssI really respect the hustle. I just hope these changes come from a place of passion and not people being pushed beyond their limits to hit a number on a spreadsheet.
And to gamers, believe me when I tell you, you have no idea how good you have it with personal storage. Some of you may be quite immersed in the game, but I doubt many of you are sitting for 80 hours like I am.
Once you start collecting multiple sets of armor and weapons, a 100-slot inventory starts to seem ridiculously small. That dream of collecting every flower and mineral you pass by? Yeah, that dies pretty quickly.
How do you feel about the changes coming to Crimson Desert? What should Pearl Abyss prioritize next? Let me know in the comments below! Cheers to anyone who says more horse armor.
