iOS 27 shows recurring Apple Card transactions in one place, making it easier to track subscriptions
Subscriptions are increasingly popular in the digital-centric world. As such, it can be easy to lose track of everything you subscribe to.
While many apps and services offer to track your subscriptions, giving third parties access to your financial information can raise privacy concerns. Fortunately, those solutions will soon not be necessary for Apple Card.
In iOS 27, the Wallet app offers a new feature for Apple Card users: a recurring transactions section.
When viewing your Apple Card in iOS 27, there is a new “Recurring” option within the three-dot menu in the top right corner.
Tapping this will show you a list of upcoming recurring transactions and even allow you to view them in a monthly calendar view.
I like to think I have a pretty good idea of all the things I subscribe to. But that requires effort. And the new Apple Card feature makes tracking subscriptions pretty easy.
I’m especially a fan of the calendar view, as it’s really nice to be able to see at a glance exactly when each upload is expected to happen.
iOS 27 lists recurring transactions based on your Apple Card history, so it won’t always catch everything. The Wallet app has a disclaimer that says: “The dates and amounts shown are predicted based on your transaction history and may not be exact. Routine expenses may incorrectly appear as recurring.”
If you see an item that is incorrectly marked as recurring, it’s easy to correct the error.
I really hope Apple Card inspires more credit cards and banks to copy the new feature in iOS 27. It seems like an obvious addition that every card should have.
