We recently reported on a great deal for the Amazon Kindle Colorsoft and that deal is still available. While it’s a rare discount, $169 for an e-reader may still seem expensive. Those looking to save more will be happy to know that Amazon’s basic Kindle is also on sale.
This offer is available directly on Amazon. Oddly enough, it is not labeled as part of the Big Spring Deal event. Additionally, only the black version costs $94.99. He The Matcha version costs $5 more.which is possibly still a good price.
Same as the previous Kindle, but easier to read.
The Amazon Kindle 2024 hasn’t changed much physically from the 2022 version. However, it has a little more power under the hood, a brighter screen and better contrast, allowing you to read with less eye strain and move around the interface a little more fluidly than before.
Amazon’s Kindle already has a great retail price of $109.99, so this $15 discount is really just icing on the cake.
While high-end Kindle e-readers are excellent, I often prefer the simple, clean proposition of Amazon’s entry-level Kindle. It comes with all the essentials for a good reading experience, with no extra extras that, in my opinion, don’t do much more than add distractions.
The screen is smaller, only 6.0 inches. However, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. After all, it makes it more portable, and isn’t that what e-readers are all about? You can easily fit it into most bags and it even fits into larger pockets. It still has a pixel density of 300 dpi (pixels per inch). It also comes with an illuminated front screen for nighttime reading. Plus, it supports Bluetooth for Audible, in case you prefer to listen to audiobooks.

That’s a pretty complete experience, right? Are you missing something? Sure, but I don’t think most people need extra features like stylus support, a color screen, etc. Sometimes less is more, especially when all you want to do is replace traditional books with a digital reader.
Again, this is not part of Amazon’s big spring sale, which we know ends on March 31. In this case, we don’t know when the sale will end, so you may want to act quickly.
