It wouldn’t be a Sandler movie without some physical jokes, but 50 first dates replaces raunchy humor with genuine sweetness. It’s a welcome change for a charming film.

If you need tissues, get them now. after the sun is the fantastic directorial debut of Charlotte Wells. The film, which is loosely based on Wells’ experiences, explores a woman who remembers a pivotal vacation she took with her father during her youth.
11-year-old Sophie (Frankie Corio) heads to Türkiye with her father, Callum (Paul Mescal), who recently separated from her mother.
