TL;DR
- Google has confirmed that the Google AI Pro plan now offers 5TB of cloud storage instead of 2TB.
- An executive stated that this update has no additional cost.
- The news also comes as Google has maintained the same Google One cloud storage options for years.
Google offers a series of AI Subscription Planscombining cloud storage with access to a series of AI functions. Now, the company has announced that its mid-tier plan has received a welcome storage boost.
google executive Shimrit Ben-Yair confirmed on Twitter that the company has increased the cloud storage on the AI Pro plan from 2TB to 5TB. See a screenshot of the tweet below.

The company claims that this increase comes at no additional cost, so you’re still spending $19.99 a month on the AI Pro plan. That’s great news and means you don’t have to spend money on the frankly ridiculous $250 a month AI Ultra plan if all you want is more storage.
That being said, I really wish Google upgrade your Google One cloud storage plans after all this time. The $2/month Basic plan has been stuck at 100GB for over a decade, while the $3/month Standard plan has offered 200GB of storage since its launch in 2018. I’m not going to hold my breath for these updates, though, as Google is clearly prioritizing AI plans.
