Fitbit is releasing version 4.66 of the Android app with all the new public preview features announced earlier this week.

When you tap the “Ask a Trainer” FAB (floating action button) in the bottom right corner and then “Sign in” in the prompt box, you have two new options.

“Hydration” is similar to the stable experience, while “Food” has been simplified to search. The Google support article says there should be a barcode reader like before, but we don’t see it yet:

Back on the grid, there is also “Mental Wellness,” where you will find Mindfulness and Body answers. Fitbit says: “Data recorded in the standard version of the app may take a while to appear in Preview.”

Meanwhile, Fitbit’s “stress management score” is now a metric called “Resilience.” Your resilience can be low, balanced or optimal.

Now you can better understand your body’s response to stress with Body Responses and an updated stress management score.

Cycle health can also be found in focus areas to track your period, and Fitbit Premium users get access to personalized cycle information from the trainer.

Free users who install this update can now also register for the public preview. A message should appear after the update or you can join from the account menu. This will enable the redesigned app, but not the new AI-powered Coach.
