Fitbit Public Preview Coming to More Countries, Adds VO2 Max and US Health Records


After adding food and water recordas well as making available to free usersFitbit public preview is now it comes to more countries.

The personal health advisor and redesigned app are coming to the following 37 new countries:


Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Taiwan.


Plus, it now supports 27 new languages:

Brazilian Portuguese, Canadian French, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin American Spanish, Latvian, Lithuanian, Malay, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish and Chinese (Traditional).


In terms of new features, Fitbit is bringing VO2 Max (previously known as Cardio Fitness Score) to the Public Preview app. It will appear in the Fitness tab under Key Metrics.

In the USA, the previously announced Medical records function is being implemented. This allows you to “link your medical records to Fitbit’s Public Preview app to get a more complete picture of your health, including lab results, medications, and visit history, all in one place and under your control.”

This will roll out with version 4.67 of the Fitbit app “over the next few weeks.”
