Samsung ‘Galaxy Buds Able’ leak with open-ear design

Samsung has a new pair of Galaxy Buds in the works, “Galaxy Buds Able,” which appear to have an open-ear design amid bone conduction rumors.

the people of SammyGuru Discovered an icon for the Galaxy Buds Able in One UI firmware, showing what Samsung’s next pair of Galaxy Buds will look like. The new design looks nothing like existing models, including the Galaxy Buds 4.

However, the clip design here is not unheard of. It is quite common in open headphones, like the ones sold Anker Sound Core and bose. The idea is to place the headset on your ear so that the speaker points towards your ear without closing it off to the outside world.

This is because rumors about bone conduction have been circulating for some time.

Samsung’s idea to produce a pair of bone conduction headphones appeared in March of last yearwith the name “Able” attached at the time. While it’s still entirely possible that Samsung is working on bone conduction, the design here suggests that the company has opted for more traditional open-ear technology. There may also be two pairs of headphones on the way, but the model numbers and software leaks suggest the opposite.

As for the name, “Able,” it’s unclear what Samsung is playing at. “Able to hear” comes to mind, but right now no one knows.
