Between January Direct for Xbox developersthe recent Xbox Partner Preview exhibition in March, and Revealing last week’s “Xbox First Look” of the upcoming sequel from 4A Games Metro 2039Microsoft has been pretty busy showing off new and upcoming games coming out Xbox Series|S and PC this year.
It was originally believed that the firm’s next presentation would not arrive until June 7 with Xbox Gaming Showcase 2026 — a debut show Gears of War: E-Day and revive Xbox Fanfest, among other things. However, it has now been announced that there are actually other event launching this week: the ID@Xbox and IGN April 2026 showcase.

IGN says the event will be “packed with exclusive trailers, new looks, and gameplay from titles coming down the road,” with the focus obviously on new indie games scheduled to release on Xbox and PC at some point. We don’t know much about what will be shown. specificallyalthough there are some confirmed appearances.
It should be noted that we know that There are no ghosts in the Grand – an adventure game that combines Friday Sundae genres with a mix of hotel decoration, puzzle solving, ghost battles and more – will be one of the games shown during the presentation. Another is Aphelion, a new sci-fi game from DONTNOD in which an astronaut has to save her injured companion while being chased on a frigid alien planet. That title will be released a few days later, on April 28.
There are two other games we know will be at the show: Mistfall Hunter, the upcoming dark fantasy “Third-Person Action PvPvE Extraction RPG” from Bellring Games coming out in July, and also a look at what’s next for Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE, the action RPG based on the popular anime and webtoon.
Beyond these four titles, it’s unknown what the show will feature, and only time will tell (unless something leaks). Luckily, we’re only a few days away from ID@Xbox and IGN’s April 2026 reveal, so we won’t have to wait long to see everything it shows to Xbox and PC players excited to get their hands on new indie games.
