Earthshine, filmed with iPhone
At this point, some might consider it old news that the crew of Artemis II Used iPhones to take photos and videos during its mission around the Moon earlier this month.
But for astronomy enthusiasts, myself included, there can never be too many astronomy photos and videos.
That being said, earlier today, the NASA’s Artemis Account in X shared a stunning video showing Earthshine from the Orion spacecraft.
In the video, astronaut Christina Koch’s face is fully illuminated, illuminated only by sunlight reflecting off Earth during the mission’s second day of flight.
After a few seconds, he rotates the camera and reveals the Earth outside the capsule, with the iPhone’s reflection barely visible in the glass.
