5 video games that deserve the Fallout streaming treatment

We live in a world where video game adaptations are having a renaissance. Sure, there are certainly some who are. terribly made and has no substance whatsoever (Looking at you, The Super Mario Galaxy movie), but most of the modern adaptations have really taken the cake for how well done they are.

One that I personally love is the acclaimed adaptation radioactive dust. With easy access Amazon Prime SubscriptionI have been able to enjoy some of the best action sequences and well-crafted stories in this adaptation. And as a fan of the games, I’m still quite satisfied. However, it made me wonder how many other video games there are that deserve the same treatment, and for that, I have a list of five.

Ghost of Tsushima

The fights would be epic

Let me tell you a little story. When my current fiancé and I first moved from our small college apartment to our adult apartment, we knew we had to play two games on our big screen TV first. The last of us Part II and Ghost of Tsushima. We beat the first one, but when we played the Ghost of Tsushima, our lives changed forever. And I’m not being dramatic.

The premise is simple: Jin Sakai, a samurai, seeks to protect Tsushima from the first Mongol invasion. Many elements would translate well to an adaptation. The story itself is phenomenal, with aspects of morality, justice, ethics and more. This series could be shogun-The level is good because it really makes the player question their choices.

The history and landscape are compelling. The game’s stunning graphics would look fantastic on TV and would blow away those who haven’t played it. If HBO picked it up, I could already see a lot of people buying it HBO Max Subscriptions to see it. It would be legendary.

There is an anime in the works that is based on this, according to Varietybut I can’t help but imagine what a live action one would be like. A girl could dream.

resident Evil

A proper adaptation

No, I’m not referring to any of the older adaptations; Get that out of your head right now. We are not going to address them. They don’t exist in this timeline.

I’m talking about a faithful adaptation of the first ones. resident Evil games. No derivatives. There are no new characters, except maybe Ethan from some of the later games. Just central zombie mayhem with Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, and fucking Leon Kennedy. We have yet to get a good adaptation out of him, and that, my friends, is simply a sin.

The game series primarily follows humanity’s fight against zombies created by the T-virus, which mutated and of course brought about the downfall of humanity. There is a ton of history in this franchise that would make a great horror show that fans would love.

But every time an adaptation is made, it is always wrong and never well executed. I mean, IIf you love horror movies, you should love resident Eviland this, as a series, would be incredible.

mass effect

Space series? Yes please

If we wanted something more science fiction, mass effect It would be a great franchise to adapt into a television show. The video game franchise primarily follows Commander Shepherd, a soldier who attempts to unite alien forces to stop the Reapers, a powerful race that could exterminate all human life.

I mean, aliens? Spaceships? Galactic fights? This could be an easy option for one of the many streaming services currently out there. But we have not achieved the mass effect adaptation that we clearly need. Sci-fi has only become more popular with movies like Dune and shows like Stranger Things. Why not try it too?

Red Dead Redemption

It would be the definitive western.

I’m a fan of everything Rockstar does, and Red Dead Redemption It’s one of those franchises that I wish was a real show. In fact, I would like Western TV series.

Lucy in a vault from the Fallout show.

You can now stream Fallout Season 1 for free on YouTube (but not for long)

Hurry before it’s too late!

The first game in the franchise follows John Marston, a former outlaw who must hunt down his former gang members to save his kidnapped family, but of course things go wrong, or take a massive turn, or you just get completely distracted in this open-world landscape. The second game, after Arthur Morgan, is even better.

Adapting the first game to television would be great. It offers rich storytelling and many directions to explore. The ideal would be to partner with a strong Western studio, such as HBO or Paramount.

A fantasy that would rival Game of Thrones

you knew The Elder Scrolls series I would be here. I’m a fantasy nerd, it’s in my blood.

I can’t even get into what ancient scrolls It’s because each game is very different. But the basic idea is that it takes place in the high fantasy world of Tamriel, where the player is a chosen hero who must fight battles, monsters, and more to save the people from imminent doom. But every game is different, with a vast and incredibly detailed open world in which you’ll get lost.

But come on, is this a TV show? It would be gold. God, how much history could you use to create a good series: we would have seasons after seasons. I could see it now. Heck, we could probably get a whole series in while we wait. The Elder Scrolls VI to release (whenever that may be).

What video games do you want as a television series? It’s time to revisit these titles. Anyone want to spend a weekend of gaming?
