The Pixel 11 series may still be months away, but it looks like Google has already started working on the software for its next generation. pixel phones behind the scenes as wallpapers for the Pixel 11 Pro Fold have now been spotted in the Android 17 beta.
It’s only been a few days since Google launched the latest Android 17 developer betabut while researching the build, the software engineer Dylan Roussel (through Android Authority) managed to pull out thumbnail previews of wallpapers believed to be for the upcoming Pixel 11 Pro Fold.
The developer shared two wallpapers included in the build: ‘Pine: Tidal Swirl’ and ‘Midnight: Lunar Tides’. While Google could still change them before launch, they give us a rough idea of what to expect.

Pixel 11 Pro Fold wallpapers appear early
Google usually matches the colors of the device with corresponding wallpapers and based on these, it seems that the Pixel 11 Pro Fold could come at least in shades of green and black. Of course, this is still early and things could change, but it’s an interesting first indication of Google’s direction.
It’s not uncommon for brands to include assets like wallpapers in early versions of Android, but it’s still surprising to see them appear so early, especially when the official launch is still months away.
As for the rest of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, Previous leaks suggest Google may stick to a similar design, with only minor improvements such as a slightly slimmer build and subtle changes to the camera module compared to the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
And if you were hoping Google would introduce a wider foldable device this year to compete with Samsung’s rumored Wide Fold or even AppleWith folding plans, it looks like that won’t happen, at least not this time.

Wallpaper leaks may not seem like a big deal, but they usually give us a clue about the colors and general direction. I’m actually a little disappointed that no blue wallpaper has appeared yet, especially since it could mean that Google is moving away from the Moonstone color; I just hope nothing is finalized so soon.
