While much of the video game development process remains relatively quiet and only ends up becoming public knowledge through research reports, some developers have shared their own personal experiences and provided valuable information over the years. One such game creator is none other than Tim Cain, the co-creator of the post-apocalyptic sci-fi IP. radioactive dust which has become one of the most beloved role-playing games of the genre.
For the past three years, Cain has maintained a personal youtube channel after which he has graced countless viewers with an ocean of game development stories, experiences, and tips that emerging creators should keep in mind while pursuing their dream of creating games.

As for what willpower be? Ultimately, any suggestions at this point are nothing more than pure speculation, although if I had to guess, I’d say to expect a completely new IP or a new entry in a franchise he hasn’t worked on before. Which I’d be surprised if it wasn’t an RPG, though, given that’s Cain’s (and Obsidian’s) genre of experience.
Regarding his channel, Cain says that he is running out of topics to discuss, and at this point, he even managed to complete the process of answering the numerous development questions he received over time while covering other topics and stories from his career.
“It seems like my playlist is running out. I wanted to point out that the channel is probably getting closer to the point where I see it being done,” he said. “I think I’ve explained the video game industry as much as I can, I’ve told all my stories, the funny ones and the not so funny ones, and you’ve heard them all.”
“I think the possibility of there being a four The anniversary video is small,” Cain added. “It’s not zero, (but) it’s certainly not 100%. …This channel has been active for three years. “That’s a long time, it’s probably about 12 times longer than I thought it would be.”
Ultimately, I’ll be sad to see Cain’s channel come to an end, as it’s been a real pleasure listening to him talk about different game development topics these past few years. However, I will always appreciate that he made it and I’m excited to see and play the last game he makes before he retires completely.
