Lego’s new ‘Mandalorian & Grogu’ set confirms a very silly name change

The Mandalorian and Grogu It comes out this month and new toys will continue to arrive for a while.

From Lego, the new attraction is the “Hutt Palace Sentinel Droid Showdown“. With 415 pieces, owners can pit Din and Grogu against the Hutt Cartel’s three-armed sentry and his marksman. Once they defeat the sentry and open the palace doors, they have another obstacle in their way. emboeveryone’s favorite bounty hunter from the Clone Wars era. Along with his bow, Embo has his own backrest in his Keibu anooba.

In his first appearances, Embo had another one named Marrok, but we know from the Aftermath: The End of the Empire novel that one had died before the New Republic era. Canonically, it makes sense for Embo to have a new pet, but this probably also comes from others star wars projects like Ahsoka and Maul: Lord of Shadows—which, like this film, have Dave Filoni as a key creative: having an Inquisitor with the same name among its casts.

Leaving aside the space dog’s new name, the set is inspired by a fight we’ve seen in the final trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu where Din fights two sentinel droids and Grogu tries to shut down one of them. Fans of the movie could recreate that fight beat for beat, or make their own version, maybe one where Din and Embo are friends, or Grogu solos with everyone else. The choice is yours, but you’ll have to wait a bit for it to happen: the film will be released on May 22, but the set will be available from August 1 for £44.99 (or about $53).
