Steam giveaway: Parkitect free to play until March 9 with cooperative multiplayer mode

Steam users have a chance to try it out for a limited time Parkitecto free. The promotion runs on Steam and allows players to download and play the game for free until March 9. The offer also includes a free expansion that players can keep permanently.

A theme park builder with 8-player co-op mode

Developed by Texel Raptor, Parkitect is a theme park management simulator inspired by classic games like RollerCoaster Tycoon.

One of its standout features is support for up to eight players in cooperative multiplayer, allowing friends to design and manage parks together. The game originally launched on PC in 2018 after two years of early access and later came to consoles in 2024.

Players can also claim free DLC

During the promotion, players can also claim the Parkitect: free Booms & Blooms expansion. Unlike the base game, which can only be played for free temporarily, the DLC can be kept for free permanently. Anyone who later purchases the base game will still have access to the expansion.

Other expansions, such as Taste of Adventure and Dinos & Dynasties, are not included in the giveaway, but are currently discounted.

Parkitect will have a discount after the free period

Once the free weekend ends, Parkitect will remain on sale for a short time. The game is currently available for 66% off, bringing the price down to around $10.19 until March 13.

Parkitect has received “very positive” reviews on Steam, with around 94% of user reviews rated positive. Many players highlight the game’s similarities to classic theme park simulators, along with its high replay value and multiplayer mode.
