If you use Windows 11 on a laptop, touchpad gestures can be a lifesaver. With the swipe of a finger (or two, or three), you can perform tasks that would otherwise require the use of a mouse. They are great for advanced users who want to get more done faster.
Well, it turns out that Microsoft knows how useful these handy gestures can be. The company has added four more touchpad options to the experimental preview version, and at a glance, they look like useful additions for anyone using a laptop.

As announced in Windows BlogsThe company breaks down what we can expect to see in the preview channels. If you’re used to seeing pages of old build patch notes, Microsoft has decided to merge all the changes it’s rolling out to the Experimental (the new development channel) and Beta channels into a single article. That way, if a feature appears in both, the company only has to include it once.
This week’s update isn’t particularly important, but it is very useful. It comes with two settings; First, if you’re using a Windows Insider build in a K-12 environment, you can now upgrade from Windows 11 Home to the Pro Education edition at no additional cost. If you’re not using Windows in education, the second feature should be more interesting: four new touchpad options have arrived in the Experimental branch.

Scroll/Zoom Speed: Control the base speed for these gestures
Auto Scroll: Scrolling continues indefinitely without lifting your fingers. Activate it by bringing your fingers closer to the edge of the touchpad while scrolling or by holding them still and pressing harder (requires hardware support).
Accelerated scrolling: Repeated scrolling increases your speed, allowing you to quickly scroll through long documents.
One-finger scroll: Perform vertical scrolling with a single finger starting from the left or right side of the touchpad.
