Announced earlier this year, the Moto Tag 2 quietly went on sale in recent weeks with UWB support on Android Find Hub and longer battery life.
Android Find Hub trackers are plentiful at the moment, with many options on the market. But what makes the Moto Tag and in turn Moto Tag 2 stand out is the UWB support for precise tracking. This feature is still missing from virtually all other Find Hub trackers.
But you can also get it on the existing Moto Tag, so why buy the sequel?
Outside of that nice new orange color, Moto Tag 2 features a lot better battery life, with Motorola promoting “over 600 days on a single battery” using a standard CR2032 cell.
Motorola has quietly opened Moto Tag 2 sales in select regions in recent weeks, and the tracker is selling for
€29.99 in the uk and €40 in Germany.
In the US, Motorola has not officially opened its sales channels, but there are third-party sellers in Amazon offering Moto Tag 2 for $119.99 for a 4-pack, which is the retail price. Some early buyers have come forward and reported that these are authentic products, and we don’t see any red flags from these third-party sellers either; Anyway, Amazon manages them all.
There is currently no way to purchase a pack of Moto Tag in the US, but the 4-pack costs around $29 per tracker.
