Pixel Watch owners say sleep tracking is failing again

What you need to know

  • Pixel Watch users are reporting a new bug that hides sleep data on the watch, although Fitbit still records it in the background.
  • Many affected users continue to see the “No recent data” message despite having full sleep statistics available in the Fitbit app.
  • The problem reportedly lasts for several nights and basic solutions, such as resetting the clock, do not reliably resolve it.

Another health tracking nightmare is hitting Google’s Pixel Watch series, and this time it’s sleep data that’s the latest victim. Some Pixel Watch users report that their watches have stopped displaying sleep statistics on the device, although the data is still recorded in the background.

Complaints began to arise reddit Late last week, Pixel Watch users reported that their devices kept displaying the frustrating “No recent data. Wear your watch to sleep” message (via Android Authority). The strange thing is that many of those same users could still view full sleep logs from the Fitbit app on their phones.
