Henson has also returned as Foggy, most likely in flashback sequences (we saw him in an extended preview which fell last month). There have been rumors, but no official confirmation, that Jon Bernthal will also return as Frank Castle/The Punisher. The biggest addition, of course, is Ritter’s Jessica Jones, but Matthew Lillard also joins the cast as a mysterious power player named Mr. Charles, along with Lili Taylor as New York Governor Marge McCaffrey, Fisk’s political opponent.
In the Season 1 finale, Fisk made a major power move by declaring martial law in New York City and banning even masked vigilante heroes. The second season takes place six months later and will naturally address the consequences of that momentous decision.
