Submitting a guest post is an exclusive benefit for SitePunto Premium subscribers. If you are already a subscriber, you can submit your article directly from the My articles section in the Premium area of the website.
After shipping, you can track the status of your item on the My articles section. If your submission is not accepted, you will see a rejection status there along with a brief explanation. You will also have the option to update your article and resubmit it. Common reasons for rejection include:
- The topic has already been discussed on SitePoint. (Please use search before submitting)
- The article is promotional rather than informative, or includes links to unrelated or disreputable domains.
- The presentation relied too much on generative AI.
Can I use AI?
AI is fine to use as a tool to help you write or edit content, but should not make up the majority of your writing. If most of your content is AI-generated, then readers will get the same answers they would have gotten from chatting with an agent.
That said, it is impossible to ban the use of generative AI when it is so prominent now. If you plan to use it, make sure it is less than 50% of your total text.
You know best how much you have used it. The goal shouldn’t be to avoid detection with enough edits, but rather to create a draft that you can augment with your personal ideas, thoughts, advice, images, and more.

We welcome tutorials, opinions, what’s new/upcoming in ___, tips and tricks, case studies, best practices, informative lists, and even coverage of your open source projects, as long as the intent is informative and educational.
Find a topic to write about
Your submissions should be appropriate for the current moment. For example, it’s too late to write about whether AI will be revolutionary or useful in programming, but if you show something you built with it, share tips, highlight the good and bad, or document your personal experience, that makes for great evergreen content that can help others for a long time.
Similarly, a tutorial, guide, or expert opinion on a topic we haven’t presented before is an easy way to get accepted. Some of the topics we have written about recently include:

Some tips for beginners in technical content
If you are new to writing technical content, there are a few things to keep in mind.

- Third, it is important to be able to explain complex concepts in simple terms. And put them together in a way that helps the reader. click.
