AI in Google Search can be useful, but it’s also one of those “love it or hate it” tools. However, if you want to turn off AI overviews in Google Search, there is a fairly easy way to do so.
Officially, there is no single way to turn off AI overviews in Google Search. Google has said from the beginning that AI overviews are a feature of search in the same way that featured snippets and knowledge panels are. there is a “web” filter which recovers the original version of “10 blue links” from Search, and some other solutions.

If you add “-ai” to the end of your query, the resulting Google Search will be free of AI overviews. It’s really that simple.
Google search modifiers, also known as “operators,” have been around for a long time, and one of the most useful is adding quotes (“”) to specific words to ensure Google is looking for that. exact spelling and word order. While this switch is not a permanent fix, it is a useful way to exclude AI overviews in places where you may not want to see them.
