If you’ve noticed some issues with YouTube Music on iPhone in recent days, you’re not alone, but Google says those issues have now been fixed.
In a support thread, Google acknowledged issues with playing YouTube Music through the iPhone app earlier this week. The issue left users with broken features in the app, including the ability to skip tracks, use the mini player, or access YouTube Music through CarPlay.
Google summarized the problems as follows:
- Playback glitches: Continuous play, skip/skip tracks, or “Play next” functions do not work.
- A blank miniplayer.
- Interrupted functionality with CarPlay, Siri and Bluetooth connections.
Now, this has been fixed.
Google saying Late on May 28, an update to the YouTube Music app for iPhone will fix the issues users were experiencing. The latest version, 9.21, is now in the App Store for all users.
