A mature and bloody anime with amazing CGI
Published in April and based on 1983-1988. serialization of the same name, Fist of the North Star is a new anime adaptation of the classic manga. It brings a legendary post-apocalyptic saga to life with a modern CGI twist, reintroducing the title character’s brutal, mythical journey to a new generation while staying true to its cult roots. It is reported that the martial arts series a more faithful version than Toei Animation’s initial anime that ran from 1984 to 1988.

The spirit house
A brutal but rewarding watch
The spirit house, an eight-episode Prime Video original series, is adapted from the novel of the same name by Isabel Allende. With more than 70 million copies sold, Allende’s novel is considered one of the most important novels of the 20th century.
Over the course of an entire century, the Trueba family faces secret loves, bloody revolutions and generational conflicts. Set in Chile amid violent social unrest, the epic family saga culminates in a crisis that throws the proud, tyrannical patriarch and his beloved granddaughter on opposite sides of the fence. The show features a stellar cast that includes Alfonso Herrera (sense8), Nicole Wallace (my fault), Dolores Fonzi (Blond), Fernanda Castillo (The Lord of the Skies), and Juan Pablo Raba (News of a kidnapping).
The spirit house premiered exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide in April. If you love family dramas with lots of romance and fascinating magical realism, you’ll want to watch this show. Issues of feminism, political chaos, and generational curses are addressed throughout this rich and authentic adaptation of Allende’s beloved novel.

Spider-Black
A multicolored twist on Spider-Man
Nicolas Cage stars in what is easily the most anticipated May release on Prime Video. Spider-Black. In my opinion, it’s also one of the most stylistically daring releases of the year. In addition to Cage, Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin), Lamorne Morris (fargo), and Li Jun Li (sinners) also star.
Combining the moody black and white character from Marvel’s Spider-Noir comics and the animated series Spider-Verse films, the live-action adaptation follows Ben Reilly (Cage), a seasoned, down-on-his-luck private detective living in gritty Depression-era New York. After dealing with a personal tragedy, he retires his vigilante alter ego “The Spider.” However, when a new missing persons case lands on his desk and a deep underworld conspiracy is uncovered, he is forced to confront his past as he returns to his crime-fighting role.
The bold new show is Available to watch in two different ways. — “True Black and White” and a color version that the studio calls “True-Hue Full Color.” So, you have your choice. You can meditate with Ben Reilly in black and white or shoot webs across the color spectrum – the choice is yours. However, it’s important to note that the black and white version really helps sell the tone of the show, which works more like a hard-boiled detective story than a superhero story.
anything goes
These three recent releases highlight Prime Video’s ambition to deliver stories that are visually distinct, emotionally engaging and impossible to pigeonhole into a single genre.
