Xbox’s latest update adds new custom colors, smarter service alerts, and more ways to personalize your console experience

The latest Xbox Insider updateand yes, I still refuse to call it XBOX, it includes some pretty cool additions. Nothing is as significant as some of the updates we’ve seen in the past, but there are still plenty of things worth sharing.

The first is an update of the Xbox Accessories app, which now allows users to see their actual controller within the app. It’s a small but welcome change, especially for those with Limited edition controllers like the latest Forza Horizon 6.

Next, continuing Xbox’s recent trend of giving players what they want, the company added more color options thanks to community feedback. A new hex-code color picker allows users to precisely match the color they want. Personally, I really like a good #0077B6, but that’s just me.

Moving on, Xbox is also adding an easier way to find “What’s New” after an update, accessible via the top-right dashboard navigation. For me, however, the most notable addition is the ability to check the status of the Xbox service directly on the console. If there is a confirmed issue, you will be notified in the top right corner of the screen.

Xbox actively seeks feedback in his new XBOX Player Voice Feedback ForumSo if you want to share some feedback, whether it’s new ideas or feelings about certain updates, head over there and let Xbox know what you think.

Now, I know this is not the most important update and comes as part of Xbox’s promise to deliver consistent improvements for console usersbut I’m glad we’re finally seeing a steady stream of updates after the drought we seemed to be going through before Sharma became CEO of Xbox.
