Google Home Speaker Gets June Release Date From Retailer


The Google Home Speaker was first presented at Made by Google 2025 last August with more details arriving in October. Following the Pixel 10a and fitbit airGoogle’s new Gemini speaker could launch on June 25.

This Google Home Speaker release date comes from Best Buy Canada Product Page. June 25, 2026 is not listed on the US site, while the Google Store has yet to see any updates.

With spring ending on June 21, Google is just a few days away from meeting the deadline.

At this point, the actual hardware should be completely complete. Rather, the software is presumably the sticking point, as Gemini for Home is still part of the Early Access program.

Since March, Google has been updating he advance experience available in existing speakers and screens three or four times a month.

The Google Home Speaker will cost $99.99 and will be available in four colors: Berry (pink/red), Hazel (black/gray), Jade (light green), and Porcelain (beige/white). The 360-degree design sees fabric covering everything but the base, which houses a ring of status lights and a microphone mute switch.

You can finally pair two speakers with Google TV Streamer for a home theater system. There’s also stereo pairing and grouping with existing Nest speakers for multi-room audio.

The first Google speaker since 2020 will be available in 19 countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
