Oura has announced the Oura Ring 5, a redesigned version of its smart ring that is 40% smaller than the Oura Ring 4. The new model is available for pre-order in the UAE starting today, with shipping scheduled to begin on June 4, 2026.
The Oura Ring 5 starts at AED 15,999 for the silver and black finishes. Premium finishes including Gold, Stealth, Brushed Silver and the new Deep Rose color are priced at AED 1999. It will be sold through the Oura website and select UAE retailers including Virgin Megastore, Noon UAE, GoSport, Amzon, Capi and Activ8.
The company describes the Oura Ring 5 as the world’s smallest smart ring. The new model retains a titanium construction but features a slimmer silhouette, lighter weight and a softer curvature designed to make it less visible during daily use.
Oura says it achieved the size reduction by redesigning the ring’s mechanical, electrical, optical, battery, and sensing architecture. The updated sensor system uses lower-profile sensor domes for skin contact, more powerful LEDs, and 12 signal paths aimed at improving consistency between different finger types and skin tones.
Despite the smaller design, the company says the Oura Ring 5 still offers up to a week of battery life. The ring also has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and can withstand water exposure at depths of up to 100 meters. A new physical vapor deposition coating aims to make the device more scratch resistant.
The Oura Ring 5 will be available in sizes 6 to 13. Oura recommends using the new Oura Ring 5 sizing kit before ordering, even for existing Oura customers, as the smaller design may fit differently than previous generations.
Health Radar adds new proactive insights
The hardware launch is accompanied by several additions to the Oura app, with Health Radar being the most important. Building on the company’s existing symptom radar feature, Health Radar is designed to look for changes in biometric patterns that may warrant further attention.
The first functions of the health radar are blood pressure signals and night breathing. Blood pressure signals are intended to identify changes and patterns that may indicate cardiovascular strain, including nighttime trends. Members can also manually record readings from a blood pressure cuff in the app to maintain those measurements along with their Oura data long-term.
Nighttime Breathing provides a continuous 30-day view of sleep-related breathing patterns and disturbances. The goal is to help users understand if changes in their breathing may be affecting sleep and when it might be worth considering further evaluation by a healthcare professional.
Oura states that the ring is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, manage or prevent medical conditions. Therefore, the new features should be treated as additional health knowledge and not as a replacement for clinical assessment.
Health Radar will begin rolling out in June 2026 for members in the United Arab Emirates, United States, and India using the Oura app in English.

Live activity tracking and GLP-1 information
Oura also adds live activity tracking, allowing users to start a workout in the app and see metrics like pace and distance in real time. The feature supports activities including running, cycling, and strength training. Users can connect compatible third-party heart rate monitors and view live data via lock screen widgets.
Another new feature of the software is GLP-1 Insights, which brings together your medication log, dosing schedules, side effect tracking, weight tracking, and Oura metrics like sleep, activity, readiness, and stress into a single view. The feature is intended for members who use GLP-1 medications and want to monitor changes over time without switching between multiple applications.
GLP-1 Insights will launch in the United Arab Emirates, the United States and India on June 4, 2026 for users running the Oura app in English. Lab Uploads, which allows members to import lab results into the app, will be available globally in English on June 30.
New health features for women
The Oura app also receives two updates on women’s health. Menopause Insights features a symptom assessment called the Menopause Impact Scale, which covers areas such as sleep, mood, cognition, and daily functioning. Users receive a personalized dashboard that shows how strongly symptoms may be affecting their daily routines and can track changes over time.
The second update expands Cycle Insights for members who use hormonal contraceptives, including pills, patches, IUDs, and implants. The feature is designed to show how biometric patterns can change across hormonal and hormone-free days.
A portable charging case will arrive later
Oura has also announced a portable charging case for the Oura Ring 5. The aluminum case stores enough power for a month of charging and supports wireless charging. Includes a dedicated button to check battery status and pair the ring.
The Oura Ring 5 charging case will be sold separately for AED 389 and is expected to arrive in the UAE in the coming months. The company has not announced an exact release date.
The Oura app is also getting a location feature to track lost rings and charging cases. Locate will support Oura Ring 4 and newer models, while users with multiple Oura Ring 4 and Oura Ring 5 devices will be able to switch between them on a single account without paying an additional fee.
Oura membership costs AED 29.99 per month or AED 269 per year. Live activity tracking, location tracking, and a new time-based data deletion feature will roll out globally on June 4, 2026.
