Whether you’re looking to buy dad some new AirPods this year or just upgrade them yourself, Amazon is getting particularly aggressive with sales prices on Apple’s latest and greatest personal listening experience, and this year the flagship AirPods deal will arrive just before Father’s Day and well before the big 4-day summer Prime Day event later this month.
Normally $249, the AirPods Pro 3 cost now sitting on $179 shipped – that’s about 30% off the list price and the best deal we’ve tracked online to date. This offer is now also on top of the best price ever seen on the new AirPods Max 2 too:
It’s hard to say whether this price will last until the end of the month when Prime Day is available or not, but I’m not sure it even matters at a price like this – they couldn’t go for much less than this. There was an equally strong chance that Amazon would simply stick with the previous $199 sale price for its Prime Day festivities this year, and there’s a chance that Amazon could show even more flexibility with Best Buy and the gang, if only for a couple of hours at some point, but anything much lower than the $179 we have now It’s unlikely and will be difficult to block unless you’re glued to the screen for 4 days in a row mid-week later this month.
Before this point, the best price drop we’d tracked online was the $199 deal we saw for Black Friday last year, the same discount several times this year, and a $184 deal that almost no one had a chance to take advantage of – it was just Amazon’s price matching Verizon for about a day and even we struggled to complete the checkout with a game.
