AWE (Augmented World Expo) 2026 is underway and Viture is wasting no time in introducing AI-powered safety glasses.
Viture is expanding with the announcement of Helix: safety glasses that bring Nvidia’s XR AI to the forefront. Viture states: “Helix is the first wearable terminal designed for industrial, scientific and clinical workflows that transmits the user’s first-person perspective to a multimodal AI in real time.” Nvidia played a key role in the AWE 2026 keynote, which highlighted XR AI’s ability to “see” and “reason” in the real world.
The Viture Helix does this with its 12MP first-person camera and four-microphone array. Nvidia’s latest XR AI solution can “train” users on their respective operating procedures. AI-assisted workflows are the name of the game for Helix by Viture. The company says it continues to work with Nvidia, Stanford University’s Le Cong Laboratory, and Princeton University’s Mengdi Wang Laboratory. Clinical research and life sciences environments are some of the areas where their AI-assisted workflows have been put to the test.
Viture and Nvidia have reportedly been working on this new device for the past year, tirelessly improving their AI-assisted workflows to provide significant help in the real world. Elsewhere, the Helix glasses feature “over 60 minutes of charging while on battery”, Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth 5.3. Since Helix is intended to be used in the workplace (industrial, clinical), Viture says workers will not need a companion device.
Helix works completely on its own, increasing its useful capabilities for workers. Live demos of the Viture Helix will be held in the NVIDIA/Dell meeting room at AWE 2026. This device is not expected to launch until Q1 2027, starting at $600. Individual reservations are available today.
things are getting better
Viture has continued to progress in the field of smart glasses and things are getting better for the future of your technology. The company recently introduced a pair of glasses that Can be paired with the Nintendo Switch 2. That turns the portable gaming experience on its head, or rather, your head. A wearable space neckband adds to its growing portfolio, along with some controllers.
Android Central’s Nicholas Sutrich sat down with Viture’s Chief Optical Officer, Dr. Deqing Kong, about their latest products and what’s to come. Dr. Deqing Kong previewed products that will be at the forefront of next-generation ocular quality and comfort. Regarding the latter, Viture’s optical leader said that the company switched to Sony panels as they offer “higher color saturation and pixel density.” there is a lot planned for Viture in the future, especially with the chosen displays, and we may see it soon.
Android Central’s opinion
Focusing on security is an interesting idea from Viture. In many ways, this makes more sense to me. If glasses can help workers while they are workingWouldn’t that make life a little easier? In these areas, such as industry and clinics, I imagine workers would get useful information about data, measurements, patient details, and more. Once this arrives next year, it will be interesting to see how it is received.
