TL;DR

Now, Gemini Live appears to be gaining new powers, allowing it to use the context of your previous chats to offer better answers. While Gemini has chat memory supported for more than a year, and may even get information from other Google applicationsIts Live version had been limited until recently. But now, Google has updated Gemini Live so it can “use memories from your previous chats and information from some connected apps.” That means Live will now remember key details, like any preferences you give it, in all future chats.
The update appears to have been added to Google support pagehow he discovered it 9to5Googlesometime after May 23 (according to website archives saved to the Wayback Machine). If you’re already using Personal Intelligence on Gemini, the feature is automatically enabled for Live. To further refine the answers, you can also allow Gemini to see your activity in connected apps by opening the Gemini app and going to Settings > Personal Intelligence > Connected Apps.
While I couldn’t test it myself, the folks at 9to5Google say the answers were “helpful” and “tailored.”
It’s worth noting that the feature is currently limited to English speakers in the US. We don’t know when or where Google plans to bring it to other regions, although it’s clear that the EU probably won’t be on the list.
