Microsoft June 2026 Patch Tuesday Update It shipped with several critical flaws that disrupted the Windows 11 user experience, including BitLocker Lockout Issues. Now, the company has recognized yet another problem.
The KB5094126 update is causing problems on all supported versions of Windows. What is the problem? When you try to delete a file from the Recycle Bin, the The confirmation dialog may display the “internal” file name instead of the standard, readable file name.. Microsoft has clarified that this issue is limited to the dialog itself and does not affect the file or its deletion (via neowin).
What’s more, when you check the list view in the Recycle Bin, you’ll notice that the file name is correct. And if you decide to restore the file to your device, its original name remains unchanged.
The issue affects all supported versions of Windows client and server, including:
- Customer: Windows 11, version 26H1; Windows 11, version 25H2; Windows 11, version 24H2; Windows 11, version 23H2; Windows 10, version 22H2; Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021; Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019; Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 2016
- Server: Windows Server 2025; Windows Server 2022; Windows Server 2019; Windows Server 2016; Windows Server 2012 R2; Windows Server 2012
In the meantime, Microsoft is actively working on a permanent fix for the issue, which will likely be delivered to affected users via a future Windows update. However, it is unclear whether Microsoft will ship the fix via the upcoming Patch Tuesday release or an out-of-band update.
Business customers may be able to find a solution to the issue, but should contact Microsoft Support for Business for more details on how to resolve the issue.
