welcome to Featured Standalone App. This is a weekly 9to5Mac series where we showcase the latest apps from the world of standalone apps. If you are a developer and want your app to appear, get in contact.
If you’re looking to improve your podcast experience, check out Edge. It is a well-designed iOS podcast app with rich features, including a news tab, podcast summaries, trending podcasts, AI playlists, and much more. It’s also well designed for iOS 26 and Liquid Glass, and feels right at home on the iPhone.
Main features
There are many podcast apps, many of which will cover the basics perfectly. Edge goes further with a series of features for regular users.
First of all, it includes AI transcriptions in multiple languages, proper podcast summaries, the ability to write bookmarks and take notes, and the ability to read news related to the podcast while listening to it.
Edge It also has some cool social features, including listening statistics, a map view to see all the trending podcasts in different spots around the world, and a short feature that lets you combine clips from similar podcasts into your own episode.
To put the icing on the cake, it also integrates with Apple Health, showing how many steps you have taken and how many calories you have burned while listening to the podcast.
Download the application
Edge is available in the app store for iPhone and iPad users running iOS 26 and later. For the full experience, you can check out Brink Plus, which is available for $3.99 per month, $9.99 per year, or $49.99 for life.
