Like many superhero movies before it, Spider-Man: New Day It has many references to its original material. The first trailer has shots of Spidey in action that look like comic book splash pages and mimic different comic book covers. Several of the covers referenced are where specific characters debuted, including Amazing fantasy #15, the first issue to feature Spider-Man himself.
In a new report, Tom Holland and director Destin Daniel Cretton talked about the process of recreating these covers. He revealed that the scenes were filmed at 420 frames per second, which is “impossible” for acting, but perfect for one or two attention-grabbing shots. With Holland hooked up, it only took the actor “two or three takes” to nail the pose, which was a truly eye-opening moment for Cretton. To mimic the cover of Scorpion punching Spidey, Holland had to “reverse the swan’s descent (while) throwing it into the air toward the camera. It was a real awakening of how much control Tom has over every muscle in his body.”

Holland formerly spoke of working with Cretton to make new day the best of himself and with genuine intention. Recreating these covers was “a lot of fun” for him and reflects how this feels. a different thing that he Home trilogy. It’s clear that Holland and Cretton are proud of these scenes, which have won over fans expecting the best live-action Spider-Man movie in years. There are probably more comic reenactments in Spider-Man: New Day that are on the websites, and we will have to wait until July 31 to see them all.
