Xbox is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, something that is easy to forget in the avalanche of seemingly bad news right now. Although they have already announced the elegant Xbox Series X25 As a tribute to the original Xbox, I wonder if there will be more for fans that don’t include a small amount of cash. Something not very different from Xbox Year in Review but throughout our time with Xbox.
Well, we don’t need to wait to see if Xbox has something like that in store, because the folks at True Achievements have done it again with their #Xbox25 Milestones tool. Simply Click here to be taken to True Achievements and link your Microsoft account, and you’ll see all your stats in a clear timeline and infographic from the beginning of your journey with the Xbox 360 (when achievements were first introduced).
A blast from MY past
The True Achievements #Xbox25 Milestone infographic is displayed within a Xbox 360 Blades Control Panel skin for maximum nostalgia, and it’s a really cool reminder of my own journey with the Xbox ecosystem.
I never actually owned an OG Xbox and was staunchly PlayStation until my 4 year old son (at the time) decided to put about 7 discs in my PlayStation 3 at once, leaving it overpowered and useless.
My infographic reflects this: the Xbox 360 launched in 2005but I didn’t unlock an achievement until this incident in 2012. At the time, because the PS3 had a Blu-ray player, it was cheaper to get a second-hand Xbox 360, and I never looked back.
I also remember that the first game I completed 100% on Xbox was Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure in August 2013. So obviously I’ll be among the many excited for this to happen become a backwards compatible title, if such a thing is possible!
I’d love to know the most interesting stats from the Xbox 360 era so far. Leave a comment below with your results or head over to our subreddit (link below) and share your own infographics!
