If you were wondering when a new iPhone SE model might be released, Apple may have given its biggest hint yet that it could be soon.
Michael Tigasthe developer of Focused work and Dumb phone, stained that developers no longer need to upload screenshots of their apps running on an iPhone SE. When submitting an app to the Apple App Store, developers must follow specific guidelines for Apple to approve their app. The company has a page everything about this process, but it is the change in requirements in the ‘Product page‘ Stage that Tigas noticed.
This could suggest that Apple’s budget iPhone SE phone could be updated soon. Rumors point to a iPhone SE 4 That could finally ditch the home button in favor of a 6.1-inch 60Hz LTPS OLED display, similar to the iPhone 14. As the next iPhone 16Released on September 20, it also features a 6.1-inch display, which would make it easier for developers to send screenshots to Apple as they would show their app on two iPhone models.

If you’re waiting for an iPhone SE 4, there are rumored to be many more features available. A USB-C port will supposedly replace the Lightning port, and the cheapest iPhone will finally get 5G, something the best iPhones I have had since 2020.
On the front of the camera, a 2023 report suggests The iPhone SE 4 will still have one lens, with an IMX503 sensor, a sensor size of 1/2.55, and an aperture of f/1.8. It is also rumored to support cinematic mode and portrait mode, allowing photos and videos to have a soft “bokeh” effect.
Finally, the same report suggests that the action buttonintroduced on the iPhone 15 Pro and all iPhone 16 models, it will arrive on the iPhone SE 4. However, it is not known if it will also include the Camera control button also.
While we still don’t know when this next iPhone SE phone will arrive, this update could be the biggest yet if many of these rumors come true.
