$799.99 is by no means a low price for a cooler, but it’s definitely much more attractive than paying the full retail price of $1,099. Not to mention, it’s definitely worth spending the money if you take advantage of everything it offers. I have the 40 liter model and it is one of my favorite things to take on camping trips and weekend adventures. It also makes me the envy of any campsite. But I don’t only use it for my outings. This is also a great secondary refrigerator/freezer for home use.
As its name suggests, it has a capacity of 58L for drinks, snacks, food or whatever you want to put in it. The good news is that it holds much more than traditional coolers, because this one doesn’t need ice. It is practically a portable refrigerator shaped like an ice box.
This model is prettier than mine because it has two compartments. One could be a standard refrigerator while the other acts as a freezer. However, you can mix and match as you prefer. Both could be freezers or both could be refrigerators. You can customize things however you want using the app or the built-in screen.
Of course, it runs on batteries. It comes with a single 288 Wh battery by default, but the unit can hold two if buy the second separately. That said, most people won’t need more than one battery. It can keep the refrigerator running for about 39 hours. A second battery would double that figure. It’s also good to know that you can use these batteries to charge other devices.
I’m also a big fan of the design. It looks and feels great. The handle also doubles as a small table, and you can even purchase a secondary side table accessory if you need more space. If you are going to be off the grid for a long enough time, you can also charge the refrigerator with a 100W solar panel.
Again, paying almost $800 for a cooler can hurt, but I swear it’s worth it if you can afford it. I also use it as a sort of mini refrigerator at home, which makes the high price easier to justify. Get it before the price goes up again!
