Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series has cost up to $900 during the phone’s pre-order period. Unfortunately, that initial phase of deals is coming to an end this week, meaning getting significantly improved trade-in offers and promotional discounts won’t be as easy after Wednesday.
According to Samsung, pre-orders will end on Wednesday, March 11. Once the countdown ends, Samsung will no longer offer improved trade-in values for older devices. That means most of these discounts will disappear.
On the one hand, pre-ordering the Galaxy S26 Ultra now means users can save up to $900 exchanging a device. Samsung will offer the most for its own devices, but devices from Apple and Google will also offer some trade-in value. On top of that, it looks like an $80 instant credit is added for accessories, like the Galaxy Watch Ultra or Buds 4 Pro.
Those who choose not to trade in can still get $150 off the Galaxy S26 Ultra instantly, although trading in is the best way to save money.
The Galaxy S26 and S26+ also get decent trade-in discounts, with up to $730 off. However, in this case, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is the better deal for a couple of reasons. It didn’t go up in price this year and its trade-in offers are much more attractive.
None of this matters once the Galaxy S26 reservation period ends. Once that happens, trade-in values will tank and the Galaxy S26 Ultra will rise back to $1,299, when the base model is currently available with an additional $230 accessory credit.
