Earlier this week, Apple confirmed to 9to5Mac that the Mac Pro was being discontinued.
While the timing of the move was somewhat surprising, the decision itself was not. After the launch of the M2 Ultra Mac Pro in June 2023, the product was left untouched, leading to growing speculation that Apple would eventually replace it with the Mac Studio.
It remains to be seen whether Apple will, in fact, steer Mac Pro users toward Mac Studio. But as soon as Apple confirmed its decision to discontinue the Mac Pro, the company removed it from its website and store.
However, Apple still has more than 20 units available through its Certified Refurbished Storein both rack and desktop formats, with prices ranging from $6,289 for a 24-core CPU and 60-core GPU model to $10,029 for a 24-core CPU and 76-core GPU (USB-C) model.
