Microsoft fixes Bluetooth visibility bug on Windows 11 enterprise devices


Microsoft released an out-of-band patch, KB5084897to fix a Bluetooth visibility issue on Windows 11 Enterprise devices enrolled in the patch update program. The update, released on Monday, installs automatically and does not require a reboot.

The issue prevents connected Bluetooth devices from appearing in Windows Settings on Bluetooth and devices or in Quick setupeven if they are working properly. Users affected by the bug are also unable to add new Bluetooth devices because they do not appear in the connections list.

Windows 11 enterprise versions affected for KB5084897

KB5084897 It is applicable to Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 25H2 on Enterprise editions with hotpatch enabled. The update will not be installed on enterprise devices that receive standard cumulative updates. Includes all improvements and security patches from the March 2026 Windows patch release.

Second active Windows 11 Enterprise OOB patch in three days

This is Microsoft’s second out-of-band patch for Windows 11 Enterprise in less than a week. On Friday, Microsoft released KB5084597 to address three high-severity vulnerabilities in the Windows Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS), which could allow an attacker with domain credentials to execute malicious code by convincing a user to connect to a malicious server through the RRAS plugin.

Hotpatch updates fix problems by applying patches directly to running processes in memory while also updating files on disk, so patches remain effective after a reboot without requiring an immediate reboot.

Patch update KB5084897 was released on March 17, 2026, and is now rolling out automatically to qualified devices.
