Google has cracked the code to make Android’s Quick Share feature work with Apple’s AirDrop, and the list of compatible devices continues to grow. Here are all the Android devices currently compatible with AirDrop.
In November 2025, Google surprise launched support for AirDrop via Quick Share on the Pixel 10 series. The feature was created without Apple’s knowledge and works on iPhones, iPads, and even MacBooks. As of the last few months, it is expanding with Pixel 9 series devices. added in februaryand Samsung models that add support in March and April.
For everything to work, both parties will need to switch their devices to “Everyone” mode, since sharing contacts doesn’t work cross-platform. However, once the recipient has done this, their device should immediately appear on nearby Android phones looking to share a file, photo, video, or anything else.
From there, the process is pretty seamless and works just as you would expect AirDrop or Quick Share to work in the first place.
On Pixel devices, AirDrop is always enabled, but Samsung adds a toggle to make the feature optional.

However, as mentioned, this is all device dependent at the moment. You’ll have to wait for your Android device to support AirDrop, as only a few do at this time. There are some Android devices that have created solutions similar to AirDrop as a temporary solution, but they are not the same as this.
The following list details every Android device that works with AirDrop via Quick Share and we’ll update it as more are added.

When will my Android phone support AirDrop?
So far, Google has been rolling out AirDrop support to Android devices model by model. That’s why older Pixel phones aren’t supported yet and Samsung also has a limited list of supported models. But it looks like the walls will fall soon.
In March, oppo said that it would roll out AirDrop support in the near future, and while the initial timeline fell short, it stands to reason that the company had a reason to say it was coming.
Which models will or will not receive support is also a mystery at this time. It’s unclear if there are specific hardware requirements, but at the very least, it’s clear that there are software requirements to enable AirDrop support. So if your Android phone does not have OS updates or is not on Android 16, chances are that probably a little further down.
We’ll update this list as more devices are added, so check back!
