What you need to know
- US Mobile is teasing a new hybrid plan that combines Starlink wireless and Internet service for less than $50 a month.
- The plan is expected to work on major US networks and expand coverage to Canada, Mexico and global roaming.
- Users can get a portable Starlink mini satellite dish, allowing Internet access even in remote or off-grid locations.
- The package reportedly includes unlimited Starlink data, making it a great value compared to standalone plans.
It’s not every day we talk about things getting better or cheaper, as most of the time prices just go up. But US Mobile could be about to change that. The company has introduced a new hybrid plan that could be easier on your wallet while also incorporating faster home Internet.
Ahmed Khattak, CEO of US Mobile shared a post on Reddit causing a new plan that combines the company’s service with Star Link Home Internet in one package. Ahmed didn’t reveal the exact details, as the plan will launch this Thursday (i.e. tomorrow), but he did confirm that it will cost less than $50 a month.
According to the post, the plan will work on all major US networks, expand coverage to Canada and Mexico, include home internet powered by Starlink, and even global roaming. Ahmed also explained how difficult it is to bring all of these services into one plan.

In the answers, he also mentioned that each customer of this plan will receive a “mini dish” that they can take anywhere to access the Internet, even in remote areas.
The post also claims that the Starlink connection included in the plan will have no data cap, while staying below the $50 monthly price. That alone could make it a solid value, considering that Starlink’s 100Mbps residential plans already start at around $50 per month without cellular service included.
There are still many unknowns about the plan at this time. We’re not sure what the final price will be or if the sub-$50 figure Ahmed mentioned is just an introductory offer or a limited-time discount. Fortunately, all of that should become clear tomorrow, when the plan officially launches.
We will update it as soon as US Mobile Share more details.
Android Central’s opinion
Honestly, this sounds too good to be true. If US Mobile really pulls this off for under $50, it could be a huge savings for users, though for now I remain cautiously excited.
