YouTube Premium Increases Prices in US, $15.99/mo for Individuals


Google is rolling out a price increase for YouTube Premium plans in the US, with prices rising by up to $4 per month.

Available now for new subscribers, YouTube Premium pricing in the US is as follows:

  • Individual: $15.99/month, down from $13.99
  • Family: $26.99/month, down from $22.99
  • Lite: $8.99/month, down from $7.99
  • Premium Music: $11.99/month, down from $10.99

YouTube Premium hasn’t increased prices in a few years, with the family plan jumping from $17.99 to $22.99 in 2022and individual plans later next in 2023 from $11.99 to $13.99 at the time. The email says in part:

To continue providing great services and features, we are increasing your price to $15.99/month. We don’t make these decisions lightly, but this update will allow us to continue improving Premium and support the creators and artists you see on YouTube.

You will see the change reflected on your billing date of June 7, 2026.
