We are in mid-April and Supreme+ There’s still plenty of life left in it when it comes to movies recently added to the service for US subscribers. Paranormal Activity
I was lucky (and old enough) to see a trailer for the movie that started the found footage horror phenomenon in cinemas in 1999—The Blair Witch Project. No one knew what they were seeing and the marketing was so good that people believed it was real, which made it scary. However, eight years later, Paranormal Activity would spark a complete revival of the found footage genre, but in a much simpler and seemingly safer setting than an enchanted forest: an ordinary, clean, bright suburban house. If horrors can take you there, they can take you anywhere.
Made by filmmaker Oren Peli for only $15,000, Paranormal Activity is the simple story of a young San Diego couple, Micah and Katie, who move into a new house when strange things start happening at night. Micha sets up a camera to try to capture whatever is tormenting Katie (slamming doors, creepy things moving under the covers), but things get much, much worse. Paranormal Activity It scared the shit out of audiences (even Steven Spielberg was reportedly terrified) and sparked a seven-film franchise, with an eighth supposedly on the way. All seven Paranormal Activity movies are currently streaming on Paramount+, so grab some popcorn and a big pillow to hide in and do it.

The epic rivalry between James Hunt and Niki Lauda unfolds
Before Apple TV F1 The Movie When it came out, writer Peter Morgan and director Ron Howard’s 2013 BAFTA-winning biographical drama about one of the greatest Formula 1 rivalries of all time was considered the best F1 film of all time (some argue it still is). When their rivalry leads to Lauda’s tragic accident at Nürburgring, Germany, where he suffered third-degree burns to his face and head, as well as his lungs, a guilt-ridden Hunt struggles to continue the season and pursue his championship dream amid his own personal problems as well. In a true display of his determination, Lauda made a miraculous return to the track later in the season. Run is an exploration of the very different lives of Hunt, who loved the glitz, glamour, women and lifestyle of racing drivers, and the more conservative family man, Lauda. Olivia Wilde plays Hunt’s glamorous wife Suzy Miller in this 89% Fresh formula 1 movie.
