4 smarter ways to get your streaming services

If you’re an avid TV watcher, you likely subscribe to multiple streaming services. Frankly, we now live in a world where a streaming service simply isn’t enough for movies, TV shows, sports, and live news. You can do your best to create your perfect streaming schedulebut you have to be smart about which services to keep and remove.

One piece of advice I have is that if you want to subscribe to a streaming service, don’t do it directly through the company. If I can somehow bundle multiple services for one price or get access to a streamer through another purchase, then that’s what I’ll do. Every dollar matters, especially in streaming. What should you do if you want to buy a streaming service? Follow some of these tips to see where you can take advantage of the best deals on the market.

For $12.95 a month or $98 a year, Walmart+ subscribers can receive free overnight and two-day shipping from Walmart.com, with no minimum order required. New customers can Sign up for a 30-day free trial.

What many people don’t realize is that Walmart+ subscribers can also get access to one of two ad-supported streaming services: Paramount+ or Peacock. Normally, Paramount+ Essential costs $8.99/month or $89.99/year, and Peacock Premium costs $10.99/month or $109.99/year. You’ll save up to $109 a year in streaming video savings with this deal.

As for which service to choose, it depends on your preferences. If you enjoy the Taylor Sheridan universe, including the recent addition of Dutton Ranchthen Paramount+ is the choice. If you want to watch the NBA playoffs or funny comedies like the officethen try Peacock.

Verizon subscribers can add Netflix and HBO Max

Save money with this combination

Netflix and HBO Max are two of my most frequently used streaming services. Between Netflix’s massive library and HBO Max’s selection of prestige dramas, these services are must-haves in my streaming lineup. Like someone who accepts ads while streaming and accepts it. most ad-free streaming will not returnI subscribe to Netflix Standard with ads, priced at $8.99 per month, and HBO Max Basic with ads, for $10.99 per month or $109.99 per year.

If I subscribed to each service separately, it would cost me almost $240 a year. It’s an excessive financial investment in two streaming services. To save money, I subscribe to Netflix and HBO Max through my Verizon Fios Home Internet plan. With select Verizon plans, subscribers can purchase ad-supported Netflix Standard and ad-supported HBO Max for $13 per month, saving nearly $7 per month. If you subscribe to four or five streaming services a month, saving $7 a month is a big help.

Verizon also offers other benefit packages to its subscribers. Ad-supported tiers of Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ can be added for $10 per month. The Apple One benefit starts at $15/month, while the YouTube Premium add-on starts at $12/month. If you’re already a Verizon phone and internet customer, you’re better off adding these benefits to save money in the long run.

Amazon Prime offers you Prime Video

It’s more than just free shipping

Raise your hand if you are one of the 200 million Amazon customers with a Prime membership. You can’t see me, but I’m raising both hands. I’m not afraid to admit my dependence on Amazon Prime. Name a household item and it’s probably in my Amazon cart right now. Same-day, one-day, and two-day shipping is a game-changer, getting essentials like paper towels and coffee pods to my front door as quickly as possible.

For most people, a Prime membership costs $14.99 a month or $139 a year. There are cheaper plans for students and those who need help from the government. In addition to shipping benefits, an Amazon Prime membership comes with Prime Video at no additional cost. That means you can stream hit shows like the boys and radioactive dust whenever you want. Maybe you might be interested Spider-Blackto spider man television show starring Nicolas Cage instead.

If you just want the standalone version of Prime Video, it will cost you $8.99 a month. For frequent Amazon shoppers, full Prime membership may offer more value than subscribing to Prime Video alone. Free shipping, exclusive deals, grocery delivery, access to Amazon Music, and RX savings come with an Amazon Prime membership along with access to the Prime Video library. You’ll probably end up using the shipping benefits more than the streaming service, but it’s always nice to have that option as a free benefit.

Packages

Look for deals involving multiple streaming services for one price

Imagine having all your favorite channels for one price. One moment, you’re watching the NFL on ESPN, and with the click of a button, you’re watching Bobby Flay on the Food Network. During the commercial break, you may see the latest screening of Jurassic Park on TNT. It sounds like a fairy tale, having these separate programs under one roof.

Oh wait, I just described cable TV. It’s a shame what cord cutting has done to cable bundles. As someone who loves live sports, I still subscribe to a cable package and will keep it as long as I can afford it. The prices of streaming services are only going up. Frankly, it’s getting out of hand. Asking consumers to subscribe to more than five streaming services can be financially difficult for many Americans.

It must be recognized that streamers have realized that offering two, sometimes three, streaming services for the same price is advantageous for the consumer. This concept is called bundling and I suggest adding a bundle or two to your monthly expenses. The two best packages, in my opinion, are the HBO Max package and the Disney package.

The ad-supported HBO Max package, which includes Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max, costs $19.99 per month for a savings of $14.98 per month. The ad-free tier of the HBO Max package costs $32.99/month for a savings of $23.48/month.

Meanwhile, the Disney package is more expensive because it includes ESPN Unlimited. The ad-supported package for Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Unlimited costs $35.99 per month, and the ad-free tier (Disney+ and Hulu; ESPN still has ads) costs $44.99 per month. If you are a sports fan, then the Disney package will be ideal for you.

Determine your streaming priorities

Deciding which streaming service to subscribe to depends on your tastes and interests. if you love stranger things and reality shows, then make sure Netflix is on your streaming list. If you prioritize sports, get a package with ESPN Unlimited. If you’re not sure, write down the 10 movies and shows you can’t live without and identify their streaming homes. This will help you narrow down your options.
