Is Valve preparing its own AI for Steam?

A recent datamine from a Steam update revealed references to SteamGPTa name suggested by Valve, the parent company of PC gaming giant Steam, is experimenting with an intern AI. The files point to two practical uses: speeding up Steam support workflows and helping Trust/anti-cheat systems in titles like Counter-Strike 2. Since Steam serves tens of millions of daily users, even modest changes to automation could change how quickly issues are resolved and how cheating is detected.

Valve hasn’t confirmed the details, but the datamine offers a concrete window into what the company could be testing behind the scenes.
