Meta just announced that, like seemingly every other tech product under the sun, the Meta Quest 3 series headsets are seeing price increases on all models.
Starting April 19, the Meta Quest headphones will see a price increase of up to $100. The adjustments, Meta says, are due to the “global increase in the price of critical components, specifically memory chips.” In other words, the cost of RAM is increasing and driving up the price of headphones.
Retail prices for the new Quest 3 and Quest 3S headsets will increase, and interestingly, refurbished models will also be affected.
Here are the modified prices:
Meta post details international price changes.
As far as refurbished devices go, Meta Quest 3 (512GB) currently selling for $449 refurbishedwhile Meta Quest 3S from $269 refurbished. There’s no telling how those prices will rise, but it stands to reason that we’ll see the same price increases (so $549 and $319, respectively, are possible).
If you’ve been wanting a Quest, now is the time, as the new prices won’t take effect for a few days.
