Acer has expanded its Aspire AI range with four new Copilot+ PCs spanning all-in-one laptops and desktops, including the thin and light Aspire
Windows 11 devices offer a choice of Intel Core Ultra Series 3 and AMD Ryzen AI 400 processors, along with features including high refresh rate displays, built-in AI tools, and modern connectivity options.
Acer Aspire X 16 IA
The Acer Aspire X 16 AI, model AX16-I71M, is positioned as the premium portable option in the new range. It can be configured with up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 processor, and Acer claims up to 180 platform TOPS in AI performance.
Integrated Intel Arc graphics handle graphics workloads, while a dual-fan cooling system using Acer’s Vortex Flow design is intended to manage temperatures without adding excessive fan noise.
The laptop features a 16-inch 3K OLED display with WQXGA+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and full DCI-P3 color space coverage. This should make it suitable for users working with visual content, while the increased resolution also provides more space for documents and multitasking.
Acer claims battery life of up to 24 hours, although actual endurance will depend on configuration and workload. Connectivity includes Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI 2.1, and a microSD card reader.
A 1080p infrared camera supports Windows Hello facial recognition and works with Acer PurifiedView features for video calling.
The Aspire X 16 AI measures 15.9mm thick and weighs 1.6kg. It uses an aluminum chassis finished in steel gray, along with a hinge that opens to 150 degrees and is designed to allow the lid to be lifted with one hand.
Acer Aspire 18 IA
The Aspire 18 AI, model A18-I71M, takes a different approach, combining a much larger display with hardware aimed at general productivity, studying, and content creation.
It is equipped with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, with configurations offering up to 100 platform TOPS. Acer also advertises a battery life of up to 22 hours.
Its main attraction is the 18-inch WUXGA display, which has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200, a screen-to-body ratio of 91% and refresh rate options of up to 165Hz. The larger panel provides more space for apps, documents, and creative tools, although Acer hasn’t provided the overall weight or thickness of the laptop.
The system includes a large touch panel and a 180-degree hinge, allowing the screen to be placed horizontally when sharing content or working with others. Its chassis uses an aluminum lid with a redesigned Acer logo that changes appearance depending on the viewing angle.
Other features include an FHD infrared camera, a physical camera privacy shutter, Bluetooth 5.4, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, and support for up to Wi-Fi 7.
Acer says the Aspire 18 AI will ship in packaging made from fully recyclable materials and is designed to meet EPEAT Gold registration requirements.
Acer Aspire C24 AI and Aspire C27 AI
The new Aspire C AI all-in-one desktops will be offered with 23.8-inch and 27-inch displays, with touchscreen versions available as an option.
Both systems use Acer’s updated ErgoStand, which allows users to adjust the screen to a more comfortable viewing position. Its Full HD displays have a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080, refresh rates of up to 144 Hz, narrow bezels, and a 90% screen-to-body ratio.
Acer will offer the desktops with AMD or Intel hardware. The AMD-powered C27D-GGP and C24D-GGP configurations use Ryzen AI 400 Series processors based on AMD’s Zen 5 architecture, combined with integrated graphics up to Radeon 880M.
The Intel versions, identified as C27D-PTL and C24D-PTL, will use Core Ultra Series 3 processors with integrated Intel graphics.
Both sizes support up to Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. They also include a 5MP pop-up infrared webcam that can be physically lowered when not needed and supports facial recognition for logging into Windows.
Copilot+ and Acer AI features
Like Copilot+ PCs, the new Aspire models support Windows features such as Click to Do, which presents contextual actions based on the content displayed on the screen.
Acer also includes its own software tools through AcerSense and Acer Intelligence Space. Available features include Acer QR Capture, Acer AI Image Generator, and Acer Video Speed Controller, some of which were developed in collaboration with Intel.
Acer has not yet confirmed pricing, release dates, or availability of the new Aspire AI models in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, or the Middle East in general.
